In VIDIZMO you can apply watermarks to images, videos, and documents. If you are using watermarking templates, then you need to specify the file or content types when creating these templates.

📄️ Can malware scanning be disabled for specific content

While malware scanning is usually enabled for all content uploaded to the Portal, you can configure the application to exclude certain file extensions. It is also worth mentioning that files created in your VIDIZMO Portal (e.g., renditions, metadata, etc.) do not go under malware scanning. The application also lets you configure Trusted Endpoints if any ingestion applications are enabled. Content being ingested from these endpoints are exempt from malware scanning.

Users with Watermark permissions can configure settings that can allow users to create their own custom watermarks when they are downloading content from the VIDIZMO Portal.

Yes, VIDIZMO can be accessed by people with disabilities. VIDIZMO ensures to meet 508 compliance requirements during its feature development cycle. Example of this include providing closed captions for people who can’t hear audio as well as by providing a player that can easily be used through keyboard shortcuts.

Yes, watermarking can be applied to renditions that are created after a transcoding process. In addition, if no renditions are generated for your content, then VIDIZMO creates a rendition on which the watermark will be applied, ensuring the original file remains unchanged.

Yes, VIDIZMO allows you to link and publish content stored on external sources, like your website, without having to upload it.

With customization, VIDIZMO can enable content annotation ability, and have annotations tied to a point in time for the content along with the ability to share annotations among selected groups of users.

📄️ How are malware severity levels determined

The scanning provider, such as Windows Defender, determines the malware severity levels. These range from None (no threat detected) to Severe (high-level threat). Severity is displayed alongside the infected file in the Infected Files page from where you can perform several actions on the infected files.

📄️ How can I apply watermarks to my content in VIDIZMO

Watermarks can be applied during encoding and download. You can also configure the watermarking settings for each process on your Portal.

📄️ Is there a limit to how many files malware scanned

There is a scanning consumption limit for Malware scanning associated with your VIDIZMO subscription. You can also configure the application to determine what action to take when the consumption ends: you can either stop uploads or continue without scanning. If you need to increase your consumption limit, contact us.

📄️ Is there limit storage or bandwidth consumption

The limits for storage, bandwidth and other consumption metrics depend on what product package or plan you have opted for. You can find out the consumption metrics of your Portal by looking at the consumption reports. See Consumption Reports for SaaS Deployment Overview for more.

To take action on infected files, you need to be in a group with the Malware Threat Control feature. On the Infected Files page in your Portal, you can perform the following actions:

Microsoft PlayReady is available as an option. DRM requires Silverlight client or Native App to playback. IE11 now has built-in support to play DRM. VIDIZMO has planned releases to support the browser’s native DRM support when it is available in HTML5 specification.

📄️ What happens to a file if malware scanning fails

If a malware scan fails, the file is treated as "Failed" and will be placed on the Infected Files page in your Portal. Users with Malware Threat Control can attempt to rescan the file, force-publish it, or delete it based on their needs. When a scan on a file fails, a notification email is also sent to users in the IT Administrator group.
